Guires Cosmetic Science Lab
At Guires Cosmetic Science Lab, CSL scientists develop standardised botanical extracts and Ayurvedic ingredients, measured to a marker compound by UPLC, and cosmetic delivery systems such as liposomes, nano-emulsions and encapsulated actives, at the Guires R&D Innovation Centre.

Extraction, concentration and drying of plant material, standardised to a measured marker compound such as curcumin, liquiritin or glabridin.
Traditional Ayurvedic herbs turned into consistent, documented cosmetic ingredients.
Liposomes and similar carriers that protect sensitive actives and improve how they are delivered.
Fine emulsions made by high-energy homogenisation, with droplet size measured.
Encapsulated and freeze-dried actives for waterless, powder and stick formats.

How it runs
Results from the Guires R&D Innovation Centre support formulation decisions, ingredient selection and claims development. Where a market or retailer needs regulatory-grade data, such as GLP safety studies or accredited test reports, CSL arranges those studies as part of the project.
Questions
Yes. CSL scientists measure the marker by UPLC and adjust the process so each batch meets a set range.
Not always. Emulsion droplets are usually not treated as nanomaterials, but some markets have specific rules, which CSL regulatory specialists check.
They can protect unstable actives and change how they are delivered. CSL tests whether they add benefit for your product rather than assuming it.
